After working in the school system and recognizing a need to support both the schools and students; It was suggested by the late Karla E. Nixon, that our first Mission and yearly event would be to purchase School supplies. However, not wanting to repeat what was always being done, We began providing school supplies, personal  hygiene needs, uniforms, and other pertinent items that the counselors and social workers would make us aware of.  From that need, we moved to supplying Holiday Meals and opening up one of the first food Pantries inside of a Prince George's County Maryland School.  
We continue this work today and providing meals for the students to have over the weekends, and in some cases providing monetary funds for housing/shelter needs.
