"OVERCOMERS"
"OVERCOMERS", formerly "Rebounders, started in the home of Evangelist Harley, in the early 90's when she purchased a home in Bowie Maryland. Unbeknownst to her at the time, her home that became a "Safe Haven" for she and her children, overtime also became a place of safety and Refuge for many others. And so, driven by her advocacy and desire to always educate people, her help extended to teaching others how to advocate for themselves, helping families to find housing, and included times of respite and fun, to lift the spirits of families and give them hope.
In 2015, the Center was organized and made official.
Evangelist Harley's work has always been in the streets, feeding the hungry, giving out clothing, personal hygiene packets and so much more. With a heart to always give, her vision grew to include: transitional housing for the homeless that includes an educational component, therapeutic support via specialist, help with job opportunities and a full graduation after they have completed the program. This vison also includes, "Domestic Violence" support to and help with housing for families, as she did in her home, benevolence to support families with sick children and housing education. With all of what she has already accomplished and done in life; her grandest plan is to have a facility that will have a childcare center, along with an area where other children can come and play safely, be mentored, have various support groups available, and the ability to reassure those that she has fed in previous times and been able to reach, that they will never be hungry again.

Up until her passing in January of 2004, she was still taking care of those in need. During Hurricane Isabel in 2003, being in her last months of life; when the storm knocked out all of the power, she gathered the family together and had them to pull out the grills and cook up all the food, that would go bad, and she fed the entire community. Her legacy is:
